Álvaro González-Jimenez

Álvaro González-Jimenez is a Ph.D. student under Prof. Alexander Navarini and Prof. Marc Pouly. He works on the foundation of deep generative models and their application for detecting and localizing anomalies in skin images in data scarcity scenarios.

Previously, he was a research intern at NAVER LABS Europe (Systemic AI team) and INRIA (Perception team). He did his bachelor’s in Computer Science from the University of Sevilla. His thesis was awarded with honors that consisted of research on deep learning algorithms and creating a mobile application capable of detecting skin cancer. He completed a Master of Research at the University of Grenoble Alpes and the Grenoble Institute of Technology (INP), where he researched robust unsupervised algorithms for deep regression.
